HEALTH PSYCHOLOGY: Central themes are social and psychological reasons for health and health problems, and methods for the prevention of health problems and risk behavior. The instructional activities of health psychology aim to give students knowledge about the prevention of risk behavior in the area of mental and somatic health. Candidates must have research competence within the area of description and analysis of conditions that affects health and health problems. SOCIAL PSYCHOLOGY: The aim for this position is to strengthen the theoretical and or applied social psychology activities at the Department, whether tied to work and work conditions, family life, the judicial systems, politics or leisure activities. Candidates must have competence in one or more of the areas social reality construction, social interaction, group processes, social change and/or socialization. BOTH POSITIONS: Work time will be divided between research, teaching and administration. Currently, teaching and research will account for about 47 percent each, and administration for 6 percent of the time. Although both positions are on a tenure track, there is a required language proficiency test within two years time for non-Scandinavian English-speaking candidates.
